QuantrolOx, creator of measurement and automation software for quantum engineering, and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) – Indian government research and development organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) – today announced a strategic partnership for the launch of Quantum EDGE Academy with the Qniverse Platform. This joint offering will deliver a program that integrates learning how to develop quantum algorithms with learning how to build a quantum computer with superconducting quantum hardware.
Quantum EDGE Academy provides learning tools on superconducting quantum hardware. Aimed at students, and researchers, users can explore quantum hardware without needing a physical lab. It offers courses that cover topics ranging from fundamental physics to systems engineering. Courses are integrated with interactive simulated hardware. Some of the key features are:
Interactive Quantum Hardware Simulation – Realistic, low-level simulations of superconducting quantum hardware to see how quantum operations are performed.
Structured Training Courses – Interactive courses to guide users through the principles of superconducting quantum systems and how they are built.
Intuitive Usability – A variety of experiments on the simulated system using a user interface that makes complex hardware concepts and the underlying physics easier to grasp.
Cohort management – An integrated system designed to facilitate group learning and academic oversight.
The project combines QuantrolOx expertise in measurement and automation software for quantum hardware and C-DAC’s “innovative approach” through its Unified Quantum Computing Platform, Qniverse.
“Our partnership with Quantrolox—a leading provider of software for automated tuning and characterization of quantum processors—represents a strategic move toward building a robust quantum computing training ecosystem in the country. The effort will focus on jointly developing a full-stack Quantum Computing Training Program aimed at strengthening India’s quantum workforce and supporting the nation’s vision to become a global leader in this critical technology domain. Our partnership with QuantrolOx marks a crucial step in advancing India’s technological leadership in quantum computing and the supporting software ecosystem,” said Dr. S D Sudarsan, Executive Director, C-DAC Bangalore.
