OrangeQS, which provides solutions for testing quantum chip performance, has closed its second seed funding round with an investment from the European Innovation Council Fund (EIC Fund), a VC fund aiming to promote innovation in Europe. In total OrangeQS has received €15M from the round, including from quantum tech VC Qbeat Ventures.
The investment by the EIC Fund follows the earlier selection of OrangeQS by the European Innovation Council in 2023. The EIC Accelerator project High-Throughput Quantum Chip Diagnostics resulted in the first generation of the OrangeQS MAX, which was launched in 2024 and shipped to IQM Quantum Computers in 2025. The new funding will be used to accelerate development of key technologies to further enhance the OrangeQS MAX product line
Partnership Program
Concurrent to this, the company has also launched the OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program to accelerate the development of key technologies for faster quantum chip testing. Rigetti Computing, QuantWare, and Peak Quantum are the first participants in the program, with an initial focus on cryogenic IC and non-destructive testing.
The program will see each partner company work independently with OrangeQS to influence specific parts of the OrangeQS MAX technology and product roadmaps, depending on their needs and level of commitment. According to OrangeQS, this allows them to keep their intellectual property protected, while ensuring the next generation of test solutions supports their quantum chip architectures and production processes.
The OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program will initially focus on parallel and non-destructive testing technology developments, with future upgrades that will allow for faster cryogenic quantum chip testing.
